Take media breaks, watch the news but in small doses, monitor social media usage.

Don’t get obsessed with the news. Keep informed but don’t over-expose yourself to it. (Find more tips from the PACE group here)

You’ve got to come out at your own pace. When I’ve had enough, I have to stop.

Coming out of lockdown, I can only really cope with one or two things each week.

I always have music on to protect me from anxiety in crowded places. I’m not really listening to it. But it gives me a balance, a sense of security, and reduces the effect of the world outside.

Don’t let the confusion of messages about Covid bring you down. I decided not to watch the news any more. I now rely on my daughter to tell me when something new is allowed. If you do want to look at advice, use a trusted source and one source. Don’t try and look at everything.
